The XLCT hydraulic torque wrench is the first eye wrench to incorporate the Anti-Return system, which enables faster tightening by making cycles more efficient. This feature is mounted in the links cassettes.
If tightening is reached at the end of the piston stroke, bolt relaxation will tend to push the ratchet backwards, while the Anti-Return system pawl opposes it. This results in the wrench locking onto the bolt. The Hydraulic torque wrench XLCT features a front disengagement lever integrated into each cassette, enabling release without tools or effort. On all links, the front lever is easily accessible to avoid wasting time.
To make life easier for operators, XLCT hydraulic wrenches feature a 2-axis 360° x 360° swivel turret. The hydraulic turret pivots freely around the cylinder axis. A second joint makes it easier to orientate twin hoses. This significantly enhances ergonomics for operators, who are no longer hampered by the hoses to put the XLCT hydraulic torque wrench in the best possible position.

The various XLCT hydraulic torque wrench models have a range of cassettes links that are matched to the model’s torque capacity. Although the cylinder part is wider, the links cassettes are thin and allow in-line reaction at the heel placed under the cylinder. These interchangeable drive cartridges are designed for minimum footprint.
The XLCT range from HYTORC enables the use of accessories 40% thinner than conventional hydraulic eye wrench cassettes links thanks to the AB system. The cassette or link is replaced by an AB attachment which accommodates 3 possible types of bit: closed spanners (with 12-sided female recess), open spanners (with 12-sided female recess and threaded rod passage) and ratchet ABs (resettable 6-sided female recess). The hydraulic cylinder drives the spanner with special kinematics, and the reaction takes place on the AB base attached by a heel or rollers.

The Cassette of the XLCT hydraulic wrench is held in the correct position by a pin connecting it to the hydraulic cylinder part. This pin makes it easy to handle the Link and cylinder assembly as a complete hydraulic wrench for positioning on clamping applications. This pin is equipped with a ring for quick, tool-free cassette changing, or turning it upside down when reversing clamping/unclamping.
