Monobloc chassis and double-acting tool

The ICE hydraulic torque wrench’s monobloc chassis houses not only the mechanical part, but also the 700-bar double-acting cylinder with its exclusive rear-distributed power supply.

Anti-reverse ratchet

The ICE hydraulic wrench is equipped with the Anti-Return system, which counteracts bolt torsion and makes each cycle efficient to save time when tightening and loosening.

Automatic clutch release

As the ICE wrench is equipped with the Anti-Return system it is also subject to possible jamming at the end of tightening. In this case, all the operator has to do is apply pressure to release the ICE wrench and move on to the next bolt. Disengagement is simply activated by pressing the hydraulic pump’s remote control, and a mechanism inside the wrench takes care of the rest, so no manipulation of the wrench is required on the part of the operator. This system works with all conventional and automatic double-acting hydraulic pumps.

Fluted drive square

The ICE hydraulic wrench features a splined drive square that drives the bushing and, if required, can be removed to use a direct bushing and gain height in the drive axis.

One-Piece Conductor Square

The ICE wrench comes with a One-Piece Splined Conductor Square. This means that the square is no longer locked by a cap at the other end to enable Tightening / Loosening reversal. The locking system is integrated into the square drive and is also operated by a push-button. This reduces handling for the operator and avoids the risk of losing the cap.

Hydraulic 3-axis turret 360x360x180

For maximum ergonomics, the ICE wrench features an additional total degree of freedom at turret level for the connection between the twin hoses and the hydraulic wrench. The operator can freely manipulate the wrench without twisting the hoses or forcing them into an unsuitable position, further enhancing safety during use. The classic 360°x180° turret is mounted on a pivot that rotates 360° around the rear of the one-piece frame.

Rotating Coaxial Reaction Arm

Because it’s sometimes hard to find a fixed, solid fulcrum, ICE hydraulic wrenches are equipped with a rotatable, steerable coaxial reaction arm. The coaxial reaction arm allows the operator to orientate the hydraulic wrench frame in any position he wishes, regardless of where the reaction arm is to be applied. For even greater ease of use, the ICE wrench arm features a joint that allows the reaction heel to be rotated, so that the height of the fulcrum can be adapted to a wider range of cases. This makes it the most versatile product on the market, well-suited to the most complex situations, such as those involving metal structures or welded reinforcement plates that prevent the use of conventional wrenches.
Thanks to the grooves located in the arm, the ICE wrench can be used in a wide range of applications.
Thanks to the splines located in the axis of the ICE wrench’s conducting square, it is possible to easily create these special products to cover overly particular cases.

Working without a reaction arm

With an ICE hydraulic wrench it’s possible to tighten and loosen without a reaction arm to avoid any risk of injury to operators while improving tightening quality (with rondelles HYTORC Z Washer or tension tightening with HYTORC Clamp NUT.)
