HYTORC HYDRAULIC VECTOR PUMP WITH ELECTRIC MOTOR

The VECTOR hydraulic pump is the result of the integration of the pump factory within HYTORC. The VECTOR retains the hydraulic part and the electric motor of the conventional pumps manufactured for years and with proven reliability, but brings many innovations in the ergonomics and the way of making adjustments. The idea is to facilitate the operator’s tasks by focusing all his attention on the key, or keys, connected to the pump.

The Vector hydraulic unit is equipped with a remote control including an LCD screen and 3 buttons plus a trigger to fully adjust and control the clamping without intervention on the pump itself which can be left out of the operation. Everything is done from the remote control once the pump is running.

With the VECTOR hydraulic pump, there’s no need to search for wrench abacuses

The electrically-driven VECTOR pump integrates the HYTORC hydraulic wrench database, so there’s no need to search for abacuses. The operator selects the model ofHytorc hydraulic wrench he wishes to use with the pump directly from the remote control and can set the tightening torque in N.m without having to wonder about the correspondence between the desired tightening torque and the pressure to be set, the pump does it for him.

This avoids the need to search for abacuses.

This avoids mistakes such as wrong choice of abacus or calculation of an intermediate value which is not in the abacus. With the VECTOR hydraulic pump with electric motor, it’s all about clamping and no more superfluous intermediate parameters. Handling of the hydraulic pump is dramatically reduced, making life easier for the operator by eliminating this adjustment stage, which is not obvious to everyone.

With the electrically-driven VECTOR pump, there’s no need to trigger cycles manually

.

The VECTOR pump is equipped with a flow meter per output which allows it to know when the piston of the hydraulic key is fully extended to start its return without wasting time. With conventional hydraulic pumps s, the operator had to detect the end of stroke visually or by noise to trigger the piston’s return and vice versa, which was quite random, resulting in lost time or unfinished cycles.

With the hydraulic pumps s, the operator had to detect the end of stroke visually or by noise to trigger the piston’s return and vice versa.

With the VECTOR hydraulic pump, the operator presses the trigger and follows the progress of tightening on the remote control screen, which indicates the phases of tightening, control and end of tightening when the operator can release the trigger to move on to the next bolt. When four wrenches are used simultaneously, this automatic detection is appreciated, as it’s difficult to monitor all 4 wrenches to trigger cycles at the right time without wasting time.

.

With the VECTOR pump, it’s the pump that validates the tightening

.

A torque tightening with a hydraulic wrench is declared complete when the bolt is no longer turning while the wrench is exerting its force on it, and not when the piston has reached the end-of-stroke stop. It’s not always clear whether the piston has reached the end stop or whether the bolt has actually been tightened. By combining information on the quantity of oil sent to the wrench and the hydraulic pressure applied, the pump is able to detect the end of tightening after completing the two recommended control cycles (phase identified on the remote control). Tightening validation is no longer left to the operator’s discretion. With data logging, you can keep track of every tightening performed and the correct validation of the completion of tightening of each bolt in the bolted assembly.
