Connection of HYTORC high pressure hydraulic hoses

The HYTORC bonded twin hydraulic hoses are equipped with 700 bar Pioneer screw-in couplers. These couplers are easy to use and reliable to ensure the good circulation and continuity of the hydraulic circuit essential to the good operation for tightening or loosening.

The female couplers have a rotating threaded ring that contacts the spring-loaded balls of the coupler pair when screwed on. At rest, the balls are out and they ensure the sealing which keeps the oil in the key, the hose or the pump by cutting the circuit (non-return valve).

When the couplers are screwed in, the balls retract slightly and allow oil to flow through to feed the tools. This is why it is important to screw the couplers in properly (hand manipulation is sufficient).

Each hose of the HYTORC high pressure hydraulic hose is independent and ensures the continuity of either the Go circuit for the thrust of the cylinder which will carry out the torque or the Return circuit which will bring back the piston to rearm in view of a next hydraulic key cycle. One hose is therefore equipped with female couplings at each end (flow circuit – high pressure) and the other with male couplings (return circuit – low pressure).

It is therefore essential never to use two sets of twin hoses placed end to end, as this would reverse the pressures supplying the wrench, the behavior of the hydraulic wrench in relation to the setpoint given on the remote control and the resulting torque would be distorted, but without any risk of overtightening.

HYTORC twin hoses are clamping accessories with a high safety factor of 4:1 to provide maximum safety to your operators because the operating pressures can reach 700 bar representing a significant danger.

This strength is achieved by stacking multiple layers of polyurethane-coated wire mesh around the nylon innerduct to prevent bursting and expansion.

In addition to being very strong to withstand the difficult conditions of the construction sites, they guarantee a good operation of the automatic pumps which need a constant volumetry to control the tightening as finely as possible.
