Anti-Return Design

The XLCT hydraulic torque wrench is the first eyebolt wrench to incorporate the Anti-Return System, which allows for faster tightening by making cycles more efficient. This device is mounted in the links cassettes.

Front clutch lever

If the tightening is reached at the end of the piston stroke, the relaxation of the bolt will tend to push the ratchet backwards while the Anti-Return system pawl opposes it. The situation results in the wrench getting stuck on the bolt. The XLCT hydraulic torque wrench has a front disengagement lever built into each cassette that allows it to be disengaged without tools or effort. On all links, the front lever is easily accessible to avoid wasting time.

Hydraulic turret 2 axes 360°x360°.

To facilitate the operators’ task, the XLCT hydraulic wrenches are equipped with a turret that can be rotated on 2 axes at 360° x 360°. The hydraulic turret rotates freely around the cylinder axis. Finally, a second joint makes it easier to orientate the twin hoses. This significantly increases the ergonomics for operators who are no longer hindered by hoses to put the XLCT hydraulic torque wrench in the best possible position.

Thin Eye Cassette and On-line Reaction

The various XLCT hydraulic wrench models have a range of linkage cassettes that are matched to the torque capacity of the model. Although the cylinder part is wider, the link cassettes are thin and allow for an in-line reaction at the heel under the cylinder. These interchangeable drive cartridges are designed for minimal space requirements.

AB System of Link with very low thickness

The XLCT series from HYTORC allows the use of accessories that are 40% thinner than conventional hydraulic eyebolt cassettes thanks to the AB system. The cassette or link is replaced by an AB attachment that will accommodate 3 types of bits: closed spanners (with 12-sided female footprint), open spanners (with 12-sided female footprint and passage for threaded rod) and AB ratchets (resettable 6-sided female footprint). The hydraulic cylinder drives the spanner with a particular kinematics and the reaction is done on the base of the AB attachment by a heel or rollers.

Pin connection

The cassette of the XLCT hydraulic wrench is held in the correct position by a pin connecting it to the hydraulic cylinder part. This pin allows the Link and cylinder assembly to be easily handled as a complete hydraulic wrench for positioning on clamping applications. This pin is equipped with a ring to change the cassette quickly and without tools, or to turn it over when reversing the tightening / loosening.
